“Prasad” or “Prasadam” in the Hindu religion means, symbolically, “The blessings of God”.
"The nourishment of the body is food while Prasadam nourishes the body and the soul both."
PurohitJan distributes the Krishna Prasadam in Vrindavan to feed Saadhu, Brahmins, and Brijwasis. We serve especially those who are living here on the street to perform Bhakti and we serve it to Brijwasi people who are in need.
Food is the main source of life and that’s why "Annam Bramham" has been stated in our Scriptures.
'Saād' in Sanskrit is 'something which is full of purity'. Adding 'prá' as pre word enhances the meaning. So the overall meaning of the word is ‘anything at its highest purity'.
So distributing food in the form of Prasadam is the best way to feed someone's body along with his/her soul.
